【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationprovidesfortheidentificationofvirgin,unmodifiedhomopolymerultra-high-molecular-weightpolyethylene(UHMW-PE)plasticsmoldingandextrusionmaterials.Thisidentificationismadeinsuchamannerthatthesellerandpurchasercanagreeontheacceptabilityofdifferentcommerciallotsorshipments.1.2Itisnotintendedtodifferentiatebetweenvariousmolecularweightgradesofultra-high-molecular-weightpolyethylenecommerciallyavailable.1.3Itisnotthefunctionofthisspecificationtoprovidespecificengineeringdatafordesignpurposes.1.4Ultra-high-molecular-weightpolyethylenes,asdefinedinthisspecification,arethoselinearpolymersofethylenewhichhavearelativeviscosityof1.44orgreater,inaccordancewiththetestproceduresdescribedherein.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion.Section,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoISOequivalentspecification.However,inISO11542-1,arangeofviscositynumbersdefinestheviscosityofUHMW-PEgrades.TheviscositynumbersaredeterminedinaccordancewithISO1628-3.
