【摘要】:Thisguideisintendedtoassisthealthcareinstitutionsincreatingappropriaterequestsforproposalstobeissuedformedicaltranscriptionservices.Thisguideprovidesrecommendedguidelinesfortheessentialelementstobeincludedinrequestsforproposalsissuedtomedicaltranscriptionservices.Thepurposeoftheserequestsiscontractingfortheproductionanddeliveryoftranscribedpatientcaredocumentationforahealthcareinstitution.ThisguiderecognizesthenecessityofaHIPAABusinessAssociateAgreement.Thisguiderecognizesthenecessityofresearchinglocal,state,andfederalrequirementsthatmayapply.1.1Thisguidecoversrecommendedguidelinestohealthcareinstitutionsforthedevelopmentandissuanceofrequestsforproposals(RFPs),aswellasguidelinesformedicaltranscriptionserviceorganizations(MTSOs)respondingtorequestsforproposals.ItdoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthelegalaspectsoftheRFP,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisguidetoestablishappropriatelegalguidelinespriortouse.1.2ItisappropriateforhealthcareinstitutionstoissueRFPsfromtimetotimeoratregularcontractualintervalsforthepurposeoffacilitatingtheprocessofcontractingformedicaltranscriptionservices.1.3ItisanticipatedthatbothacommercialcontractforservicesandaHIPAABusinessAssociateAgreementwillbebasedupontherespondingproposalssubmittedtotheRFP.
