【摘要】:Whenasuperplasticmaterialisregularlybeingusedinindustrialproduction,itisoftenconvenienttousethebulgetesttoqualifyabatchorheatlottoanacceptancecriterion.ComparingthesetestmethodswithTestMethodE2448,thebulgetestdoesnotrequireamachinedcoupon,itismoreconvenienttoperform,anditmostcloselysimulatesthemultiaxialstressesandstrainspresentinformingparts.Thesetestmethodsdonotmeasuretheintrinsicsuperplasticpropertiesofamaterial.TestMethodE2448shouldbeusedinthatinstance.1.1Thesetestmethodsdescribeproceduresfordeterminingthebiaxialformabilityofasuperplasticmetallicsheetinacirculardie.1.2Theintentofthesetestmethodsareprimarilytobeusedastestsofsuperplasticityasmeasuredbytheabilitytoformtoaprescribeddepthinadiecavitywithoutrupturing.Thesetestmethodscanalsobeusedtogeneratematerialforthemeasurementofcavitationintheformedpart.Thesecanbeusedasgo/nogocriteriaforqualificationtoaspecification.1.3Thesetestmethodshavebeenusedsuccessfullywithaluminumalloys.Theuseofthesetestmethodsonothermetalsshouldbeverified.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
